Venue Spotlight: Bleinham Palace

Bleinham Palace is Home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and it is also the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Situated in Woodstock, just 8 miles from Oxford, Blenheim Palace is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland, the great lake, and beautiful formal gardens, offering an unforgettable day out for all.

The Orangery
The Orangery boasts a private terrace overlooking a beautiful Italian Garden, where your guests can enjoy your cocktail hour. It also features an elegant room with high ceilings and huge arched windows, with room to accommodate 180 of your guests for dinner. The Orangery is an exclusive venue…take advantage of its private entrance and long hire period. In addition, the venue can be used in conjunction with The Great Hall.

The Marlborough Room
This room was was originally the home of the Palace kitchen. Featuring a beautiful double vaulted ceiling rising to the full height of the Palace, two stunning chandeliers and a huge fireplace, this room can accommodate up to 120 or up to 60 guests for a lunch or dinner.

The Great Hall and The Saloon
If you’re looking for the perfect dinner venue then The Great Hall and The Saloon, situated inside the Palace, work side by side to provide you with just that. Your wedding guests can enter the Palace along the up-lit Colonnades into The Long Library and through the State Rooms into the Saloon for a Champagne reception. The magnificent Great Hall can accommodate 150 guests for dinner and 500 for a standing reception; and the Saloon 80 guests for dinner. The Great Hall and Saloon provide a fantastic dining combination for up to 150 guests for evening receptions from 6.30pm. Then you can enjoy dancing in the Water Terraces Arcade Room to end your special occasion with an after dinner cocktail and drinks bar in The Saloon!

The Long Library
At 55 metres, The Long Library is one of the longest rooms in any British stately home and was designed by Vanbrugh as a picture gallery. The Willis Organ takes pride of place at the north end of the room surrounded by over 10,000 books. All the windows over look the water fountains and lake. The Long Library can accommodate up to 300 guests for dinner, with a Champagne reception in The Great Hall and Saloon. From 6:30pm enjoy aa exclusive tour of the State Room before dinner and dancing in the delightful Water Terraces to finish your evening in style.
