Trying to figure out how to coordinate all the different aspects of your wedding decor and design can be a difficult task. From table linen, your bridal party’s attire, to flowers, and charger plates, bringing all these elements together to create a gorgeous and seamless palette takes a lot of planning. So,here are my 3 top tips on selecting your wedding colour palette to get you started…
Your venue can be one of the major deciding factors when it comes to your colour palette. for example, a marquee provides a blank canvas to be as creative as you like, so the choice of colours is wide-ranging. However, venues such as hotels may have interiors and fixtures that are permanent e.g. carpet, and so selecting a wedding colour palette that does not clash is vital.
Think about the season… for example, rich jewel tones such as reds and emerald greens work better in the fall and winter months, while blush, nudes and mint greens compliment the spring and summer seasons well.
What’s your natural day to day style like? Are you a bit of bohemian glamour, city chic, or classic parisian? Whatever it may be incorporate some of this into your wedding day style and let the colours from these themes influence your colour palette.
