The three fundamental things a wedding planner can do for a couple is save them Time, Money and Stress! I’m sure you’ve probably heard this before, and I’m sure you have had one or two of these questions run through your mind at some point! Well let me answer them for you…
Surely I don’t need a wedding planner? My wedding reception comes with a wedding coordinator!
Most onsite coordinators will only handle the responsibilities related to their specific venue and the service of the food. They are not responsible in directing your wedding ceremony, they will not be at your rehearsal offering direction and guidance, and neither will they be able to assist you with the planning of your event from start to finish. Wedding planners offer a more personal service, understand the plans of your wedding to the finest detail, and can do a lot of the tedious tasks you would preferably like to avoid e.g., shortlisting suppliers, reading through contracts. In addition we make sure your musicians have had their sound test, flowers are exactly where you said you wanted them to be, seating cards are set, and then we go over every detail again and again and again.
Then you probably thought “I won’t have any control over my wedding. I will not get to enjoy the planning process”
This is where you’re mistaken. Any professional wedding planner will make it clear to their client they are there to assist with as much or as little the client needs help and guidance with. For example, if you opted for complete planning and coordination you may want your planner to source your reception venue, however you may want to source the ceremony venue yourself. You still want to enjoy the process right! At the end of the day the client has the final say. If your planner has sourced and shortlisted four potential venues, it’s YOUR choice as to which one you wish to hold your special day at. The planner has done all the leg work, so you can focus on what really matters!
And the one thought that runs through every couples mind is, “I can’t afford a Wedding Planner! Plus they’re only for the rich and famous”
Wedding Planners, despite your budget should be able to work with you. After all their job is to plan and organize your wedding. Whether you have £5,000 or £20,000 to spend, there is a planner out there for you that will work within your budget. Every bride wants to feel like a princess, and so you should, despite how much money you have in the bank. If you have a small and strict budget a wedding planner will make sure you stay within it. They have learnt great ways to negotiate and keep costs down, without compromising quality. Planning a wedding is like having a full-time job, so why not leave it to the professionals whose sole role is to do just that. They will support you in bringing your vision to life, keep you on track and within your budget, and make the whole process fun and stress free! You only marry once…make an investment you won’t regret!
